Director of Centro de Formação Dr. Rui Grácio. Teacher Educator. Graduated in Modern Languages and Literatures. She’s post-graduated in Educational Sciences. Has completed a PhD course on: "Didactics and Organisation of the Educational Institutions" (curricular part) at the University of Seville. Presently, she prepares her PhD Thesis in the field of “Educational Innovation and Teachers Professional Development” at the University of Lisbon. She is in charge for the management and evaluation of the Continuing Professional Development plan for 600 teachers and 250 non-teaching staff members. She was the European coordinator of two Comenius Multilateral Projects (Sócrates and LLP). She is a teacher educator and researcher in the areas of Educational Innovation, Curriculum Development, Teachers Professional Development and author of publications and communications in Seminars and Conferences in the field of Teacher Education.  / Diretora do Centro de Formação Dr. Rui Grácio e formadora de professores. É licenciada em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas e pós-graduada em Ciências da Educação. Concluiu a parte curricular do doutoramento em Didática e Organização das Instituições Educativas na Universidade de Sevilha. Atualmente, prepara a sua tese de doutoramento na área da Inovação Educativa e do Desenvolvimento Profissional Docente, na Universidade de Lisboa. É responsável pela gestão e avaliação do plano de formação contínua de 600 professores e 250 trabalhadores não docentes. Foi coordenadora europeia de dois projetos multilaterais Comenius, no âmbito dos programas Sócrates e Aprendizagem ao Longo da Vida (LLP). Exerce funções de formadora de professores e investigadora nas áreas da Inovação Educativa, do Desenvolvimento Curricular e do Desenvolvimento Profissional Docente. É autora de publicações e de comunicações apresentadas em seminários e conferências no domínio da formação de professores.

Is full professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and affiliated to the Center for Instructional Psychology and Technology (CIP&T) at KU Leuven, focuses on educational technology and TE. His contributions in educational technology include ICT use by teachers, games for professional education, and blended learning. He is actively involved in designing learning environments for complex learning and studying how students engage with learning opportunities. In TE, his research includes pedagogical content knowledge, promoting critical thinking, and core practices. Methodologically, his research is diverse, ranging from quasi-experimental studies to analysing students' behaviour using log-files in learning environments. / É professor catedrático na Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences e está afiliado ao Center for Instructional Psychology and Technology (CIP&T) da KU Leuven. A sua investigação centra-se na tecnologia educativa e na formação de professores. O seu contributo para o domínio da tecnologia educativa abrange a utilização das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) pelos professores, os jogos aplicados à formação profissional e o blended learning. Está ativamente envolvido na conceção de ambientes de aprendizagem orientados para aprendizagens complexas e no estudo da forma como os estudantes aproveitam as oportunidades de aprendizagem que lhes são proporcionadas. No âmbito da formação de professores, a sua investigação incide sobre o conhecimento pedagógico do conteúdo, a promoção do pensamento crítico e as práticas fundamentais de ensino. Do ponto de vista metodológico, recorre a abordagens diversificadas, que vão desde estudos quase-experimentais até à análise do comportamento dos estudantes através de log files gerados em ambientes de aprendizagem.

Teaches History at the Júlio Dantas School Cluster (AE Júlio Dantas) in Lagos, Portugal, and works as a teacher educator. A certified teacher trainer in History and Citizenship Education, she holds a PhD in History, specialising in African History, and a Master’s degree in Modern History, both from the University of Lisbon.
Her experience includes guest lecturing at the School of Education and Communication of the University of the Algarve, implementing several projects in Education for Citizenship and Development, and running training courses on pedagogical assessment. At national level, Glória Paula was a member of the central team of the MAIA Project (“Monitoring, Research and Teacher Training in Pedagogical Assessment”), promoted by the Portuguese Ministry of Education. For four years, she also represented the Dr. Rui Grácio Teacher Training Centre (CFAE) in the Ministry’s Autonomy and Curriculum Flexibility programme. / É professora de História no Agrupamento de Escolas Júlio Dantas, em Lagos, Portugal, e exerce também funções de formadora de professores.
